John is a 2005 graduate from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Business Management.  While competing for the Rams, John was a two-time All American, and set numerous school and conference records.  He was awarded The Nye Trophy as CSU's most outstanding male athlete, and the Thurman "Fum" McGraw Award as the school's top student-athlete.

Recently at the 2007 USA Indoor Track & Field Championships, John claimed 5th place in the 60 meters.  John has competed in the 2007 and 2006 USA Indoor Championships, the 2006, 2005, and 2002 USA Outdoor Championships, and the 2004 USA Olympic Team Trials.  During the summer months, John is a regular competitor on the European circuit and has ran in notable meets such as the FBK Games IAAF Grand Prix I in Hengelo, Netherlands.
